Day 01: ArriveChandigarh
On your arrival at Chandigarh, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle and will proceed to the city centre. Check in at the hotel. Later we will begin a short tour to visit the famous rock garden of the city. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 02: Chandigarh to Manali: (300 kilometers / 6-7hrs drive)
After early breakfast, proceed to Manali. 300kms drive will take approx. 6 to 7hours to reach Manali. Check in at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03: In Manali
After a leisurely breakfast, day at leisure to acclimatize or to explore the best of Manali town. One of the most favorite destination for Indian tourist may be crowded with many visitors in summer. Explore Mall Road / Hadimba Temple / Vashisth Ashram and hot spring at the temple and post lunch check your gears and essential stuffs for your overland drive to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Manali.
Day 04: Manali – Sarchu: (200 Kilometers / 7-8 Hrs Drive)
We leave today for Sarchu that is located beyond Jespa, the region’s main town, the road follows the Bhaga River up towards its source. It hairpins up to the Baralacha-La (16050 ft/4,892m), a pass that is perhaps unique in its being a tri-junction, with a trail from Spiti coming in from the southeast. Overnight in camp
Day 05: Sarchu – Leh: (220 Kilometers / 7-8 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast drive to Leh. The Zanskar Range remains to be crossed and this takes two more passes, the La Chung-La (5,059m) and the Tanglang La (5,325m). En-route we visit the famous monastery of Hemis. Leh is rapidly spreading in all directions from its original position beneath the long abandoned Namgyal Palace. While the town has come a long way from the days when polo was played on its main street, Leh still remains a pleasant, traditional Himalayan town. Overnight in hotel.
Day 06: In Leh: Visit the town and surrounds
The morning is at leisure for rest and acclimatization. Later after lunch visit Shanti Stupa, SankarGompa& local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: In Leh
After breakfast full day sightseeing to the massive Tibetan Buddhist Gompas of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. A few kilometers up the Indus is Shey, the ancient capital, with its palaces, temples, and vibrantly colored murals, cleaned and restored in the mid 1980’s. Later we drive to visit the fortress styled monastery of Thikse. Afterwards, we drive to visit the Hemis monastery. This monastery is known to be the most famous and rich Buddhist temple in the entire region. We drive back to our hotel in Leh. In the evening, we will spend some time roaming around the markets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Leh to Nubra: (130 km / 4-5 hrs drive)
We will drive to Nubra valley in the morning, driving over the highest motored pass in the world. The exciting journey through serpentine roads leads us to the Khardung la Pass at an awesome height of 5550 meters. We stop at the pass to admire and click some photographs of the fantastic view, before driving down into the Nubra valley. The valley is situated on an old caravan route at the confluence of the Shyok and the Nubra rivers. We drive to our fixed camp resort and later drive to visit the charming valley, of Deskit – the tiny capital of Nubra. Overnight in camps.
Day 09: Nubra to Leh: (130 km / 4-5 hrs drive)
We will drive back to Leh, driving on the same route and crossing the Khardung la pass yet again. We arrive at Leh in the afternoon and settle for the day at our hotel.
Day 10: Leh Departure – Chandigarh / Delhi
After breakfast drive back to the airport for your flight to any onward destination.
